Description: The role of the Professional Registered Nurse is to provide quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and within the guidelines of the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administrations of individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine age-specific treatment modalities.
The Transport/Special Procedure Nurse is responsible for the stabilization and transport of stable to critically ill neonates to and from referral hospitals, coordination of in-house diagnostic testing and treatments and assisting with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit procedures on Neonates.
Requirements: Current NJ RN license NRP Certification required Minimum two (2) years recent or current experience in level III Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing required Must be highly skilled in care of Critically ill Neonates Current BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider Additional certifications may be required Additional experience/training may be required based on departmental specific needs.
